By engaging with our platform, you agree to the terms outlined below concerning the collection, processing, and protection of personal data.
1.1 Data Controller: MCSWA acts as the data controller when determining the purposes and means of processing personal data collected via its platform.
1.2 Data Processor: MCSWA may act as a data processor when processing data on behalf of its members, contributors, or partners.

Account details: Login credentials, role preferences (e.g., entrepreneur, investor, or partner).
Transaction details: Donations, memberships, or payment information.
Usage data: Analytics and platform usage statistics.

Facilitating member registration and role assignment.
Managing project submissions, reviews, and approvals.
Enabling donations and payment transactions.
Improving user experience and platform performance.
2.3 Legal Basis: Data processing is conducted in compliance with Canadian privacy laws (e.g., PIPEDA) and international data protection standards where applicable.
3.1 Compliance with Laws: MCSWA will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, including PIPEDA and GDPR (where relevant).
3.2 Security Measures: MCSWA implements technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal data, including:

Restricted access to personal data based on roles.
3.3 Sub-processors: MCSWA may engage trusted third-party service providers (e.g., hosting providers, analytics tools) to process personal data. All sub-processors are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.
